This five ingredient prawns recipe is an absolute winner. It’s crunchy and juicy at the same time. You can use this recipe as a sides or as a topping for your salad or pizza. It’s packed with flavor having just the minimum ingredients. I made these spiced prawns as a topping for my pizza as it’s my family-favorite. I also love to add them to my green salad or might even enjoy eating them plain with salsa or any dipping sauce of your choice.


  1. 35-40 medium prawns (devein)

  2. 2 teaspoon chili powder

  3. 8-10 cloves of garlic (minced)

  4. salt to taste

  5. 1 teaspoon paprika

  6. oil


  1. Devein the prawns and clean well. Wash and pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. In a bowl add the minced garlic, chili powder, paprika, salt and 2-3 tablespoons of oil to make the marinade for the prawns. Mix it well until it’s smooth.

  3. Add the prawns to the marinade and mix them well. keep aside for an hour.

  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add the prawns one at a time n fry them 3 minutes on each side. Don’t over cook them as you might loose the texture and the crunch.

  5. Serve hot. Enjoy!


  • You can add lemon juice if you like nice pungent flavor.

  • Letting the prawns to marinate for a couple of hours allows to enhance the taste.
